Tasty Book Tours Is Here With A New Release From Laura Trentham!
St. Martin’s Paperbacks
Even though Monroe Kirby came from a life of wealth she has never acted like it, she may have grown up on the Mississippi side of the Cottonbloom, but that didn't stop her from occasionally wandering to the Louisiana side the river to make friends. She is quite certain that meeting Cade Fournette saved her life, he was her saving grace, and came to her aid any time she needed shelter from the dark world her mama fell into. But then one night he was gone, and didn't even take the time to tell her goodbye, and it crushed her, and her heart. She has since made a decent life for herself working as a physical therapist, and teaching young girls self-defense in her free time. She enjoys her life in Cottonbloom, but has always felt like something was missing... perhaps the boy from the other side of the river who captured her heart so long ago.
From the moment I heard that Ms. Trentham was writing a new series to follow-up her Falcon Football series, I was eager to get my hands on it, and have myself a little reading marathon. The minute I read the synopsis for this book, I knew I was in for a treat, so I dived in and felt myself immediately falling for a whole new set of well crafted characters that lured me in with their down home southern charm, witty one liners and hilarious shenanigans! I loved every minute of this one, it had me laughing and smiling the whole way through, and left me anxious for more time with the charming folks of Cottonbloom!!
Anytime you have the opportunity to read something from this author I HIGHLY encourage you to do so, I have yet to read a book by her that I haven't ABSOLUTELY loved!! She has this uncanny ability of creating stories centered in these idyllic little towns, equipped with these eccentric and endearing characters, that take you by the hand and pull you into their world, and have you feeling like you have belonged there all along. Each new story gives readers a broader view into the lives of all of its residents, old or new, and does an amazing job at connecting each characters story to the next, giving the series a very realistic feel. But, with that being said, I also think she also does a great job at keeping each book versatile enough that you could still read each book as a standalone... but my guess is after you read one you'll be dying to get yours hands on the next!!
If you like small town romance stories, with a southern twist, then this the perfect read for you, I am certain the minute you meet the residents of Cottonbloom they'll steal your heart and have you never wanting to leave!!
