You Let Me In
Release Date: October 13, 2026
Publisher: Atlantic Crime
Genre: Thriller/Mystery

Lock Every Door meets Rear Window in this white-knuckle thriller about a struggling writer locked in a twisted game of cat-and-mouse with a stalker hell-bent on dredging up her past.

I’m in your house. I’m in your head. And now I know your secret.

Elle Fielding is floundering. Her once perfect marriage is falling apart and she’s on the verge of losing her book deal—and, by extension, the dream home she’s poured her savings into. As her finances dwindle, Elle decides to rent out her Cornish home on Airbnb. Just this once.

But when she returns home after a writer’s retreat away, nothing feels right. There’s a new coldness. A shift in the atmosphere. The prickling feeling that someone is watching her every move from the shadows. Maybe it’s all in Elle’s mind? And yet every threat seems personal. As if someone has discovered the secrets that keep her awake at night. As fear and paranoia close in, Elle’s own home becomes a prison. Someone is unlocking her past—and she’s given them the key.

With Hitchcockian dexterity, Lucy Clarke unlocks one of our most primal fears in this mind-bending thriller about the horrors that lurk behind closed doors. In a world where technology has brought us closer to both loved ones and strangers, You Let Me In is a disquieting and nightmarishly intense addition to Lucy Clarke’s searing oeuvre.

At the time Elle Fielding thought she was doing something that might lighten the load on her pocketbook... but now she is starting to think it was her worst idea yet. When she arrives home from a writer's retreat she feels like things are different in her home, things have been moved, and she feels like she is not alone, like someone is watching her every move. Or is her active and suspicious mind playing tricks on her?

This well penned psychological tale will have you rattled from beginning to end...it's downright spooky at times. It's one of those reads you probably shouldn't read before you go to bed, take my word for it! I second-guessed myself and what I was reading pretty the whole way through, I even started to wonder if the main character was just dreaming it all up... Wow what a read!

This was my first experience with this author's writing and I have to say it left me impressed on all fronts, so much so, I think it's safe to say I'll be back for more!! Highly recommend!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
