When her husband passed away it was devastating for her and her girls, but then to learn the man she slept beside all of those years wasn't who he said he was, now that was beyond devastating. It was as if she never knew him at all, that what they built together was all a lie. Now she finds herself trying to pick up the pieces and learn to live for herself and her girls, and no longer for his career or his needs... and it's tough. But she doesn't have to do it alone...
Meant for Her was a beautifully penned love story that hit me straight in the heart, the feels with this one are unreal. I loved watching Dakota rebuild her life, find her strength and independence and create a life for her and her daughters that she could be proud of, one that involved someone that truly loved them all. Christopher was quite the guy, stepping into someone else's life is one thing, but a teammate and friends, is something else entirely. He handled it care, knew the responsibility it held, and did right by those girls and I loved watching him to do it.
This was such a wonderful escape, even if it hurt my heart a little, it made me believe that second chances and true love are possible even after the darkest of times. If you like sports romances you have to add this one to your reading list, it's words will touch your heart and characters will make you smile time and time again. Highly recommend!
