When a charming billionaire and a reclusive lawyer tie the knot to outsmart an inheritance scheme, sparks fly and unexpected love blossoms in this sizzling romance from Ava Rani, author of The Spare and The Heir.

Sometimes love outsmarts the best laid plans.

Penelope Chen-Astor ran away from the stifling expectations of her wealthy family in Singapore for an independent life as a high-powered Manhattan lawyer. But familial duty comes crashing back when her grandfather’s will demands she be married for a year to claim her inheritance. She’d walk away from it all, but her mother’s assets are at stake too, and this is the only way Penelope can see to protect her.

Enter Xander Sutton, the billionaire co-founder of investment group Dawn Capital. With his effortless charm and easy smiles, he’s used to winning hearts, but Penelope’s always proven immune to him. When she’s backed into a corner and asks Xander to masquerade as her husband for a year, he sees a golden opportunity to finally win over the only person who’s kept him at arm’s length—but the closer they get, the harder it becomes to play pretend.

What begins as a strictly business arrangement quickly spirals into steamy encounters and genuine emotions. When meddling relatives, corporate espionage, and high-stakes legal battles come into play, Xander and Penelope will have to decide if the inheritance is all they stand to lose when the year is done...

From the bustling streets of Manhattan to the serene beaches of the Hamptons and the skyscrapers of Singapore, The Charmer is the third and final novel in the Biotech Billionaires universe.

My Review of The Spare:

They use to be the best of friends, but tragedy struck and somewhere amongst the pain and healing they're friendship and anything else happening between them slipped away. Marcus ran from his problems and Sloan found a way to channel hers into something positive and productive. But now he's back in town and wanting to make amends... question is can what he broke be fixed?

The Spare is a drama filled little page-turner that is destined to entertain, as these two one time friends come together again and try to sort out the wrongs of the past. With every step in the right direction they make there is always something there to push them back a little, in most cases it's their families. They want to embrace the feelings growing between them, but there is some hesitation to, as worries of past mistakes maybe being repeated hold them back a little. Marcus had some serious making up to do to win his girls heart and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him do it! I enjoyed this first time read, it was wickedly entertaining and heartfelt! Highly recommend!

My Review of The Heir:

Henry Amari thinks he is ready to become a leader at his families company... his family on the other hand has their doubts about his ambitions. So, they make him a deal, they'll give him a shot if he proves himself worthy of the title, and agrees to let a public relations firm help him clean up his image. It seems easy enough to do... that is until the PR consultant shows up on his doorstep!

The pages of The Heir hold a story that brings us into the lives of a young man who is ready for a grown-up life and the young lady tasked with helping him prepare for that life, by setting him on the right path. What our heroine doesn't realize though is that the path she is leading him onto is one that is a little closer to her than she intended it to be. These two were never meant to fall for one another, it was supposed to be a business only relationship. For a while they kept it that way, especially since there was a lot of mutual dislike floating around between them, but after spending so much time with one another that dislike started to resemble something else... something a lot like love.

This second venture into the Biotech Billionaire world proved to be just as entertaining as the first, I enjoyed watching this couple tackle everything put in front of them and find the happily ever after waiting on the other side. It was an enjoyable and heartfelt journey! Highly recommend!

My Review of The Charmer:

Penelope Chen-Astor didn't want the life that waited for her in Singapore, she wanted a life of her own, one lived on her own terms, so she left and never looked back. But now she must look back, or at least visit in order to fulfill the duties grandfather's will so she can receive her inheritance and keep her mother's assets safe. Sometimes the things you despise the most end up being the the thing you really need...

The pages of The Charmer lead us into the lives of Penelope and Xander, two people brought together for the sake of business. The arrangement is simple, she needs a husband to obtain her inheritance and he gets the chance to be closer to the girl he's been trying to win over. It's a win for both of them, or is it? Penelope insists on keeping things business only, but little by little Xander sneaks past her radar and even closer to her heart. And that was not part of the plan...

This book is my favorite of series, the characters found their way into my heart almost immediately and their wonderfully written love story captured my attention and held it intently the whole way through. This one just hit differently than the others, and I'm not really sure why, I just know I loved it. If you like billionaire romances than you have to check out this series, each character you meet will steal your heart and give you a story you won't be able to pry your eyes from... they're so addictive! Highly recommend.

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
