Let’s celebrate! It’s release day for DECEPTION & NEW DIRECTION by Allison Bettes!

Some pasts won’t stay buried. Some men refuse to walk away.

Ruthie Campbell thought she’d finally outrun her past. Living under a new name, she’s rebuilt

a quiet life as a receptionist at a private security firm in Georgia. It’s safe. Simple. Controlled.

Until Jack Hutchinson walks through the door.

Jack—her best friend’s brother, a broody, battle-scarred Army Ranger—has a talent for seeing

through walls. And Ruthie’s are crumbling fast. When a dangerous stalker resurfaces and her

old life catches up to her, Jack refuses to let her face it alone.

He’s protective. He’s relentless. And he’s falling hard.

As their connection deepens and threats close in, Ruthie must decide if she can trust Jack

with the truth—and whether love is worth risking everything she’s worked so hard to hide.

Welcome to My World of Romance and Suspense!

I weave stories of mystery, romance, and suspense. Dive in and join me on this heart-pounding journey, where every twist and turn brings new surprises and adventure. If you enjoy characters who are brave, sassy, and beautifully flawed, you’re in the right place.

I’m a meteorologist/science writer by day, but a romantic suspense author at heart. My journey into the world of romance and suspense started when my grandma handed me her well-worn copies of Danielle Steel and Nora Roberts novels—I was hooked.

During Covid times, with time on my hands and a need for catharsis, I dove into writing my own romantic suspense novels. Fast forward several years and four novels later, I'm ready to share my stories with the world. My books are a thrilling blend of romance, mystery, and suspense -- think Cupid Meets Crime Scene.
