The Release Blitz for Make Me Dream by Marie Johnston!
Make Me Dream by Marie Johnston is now live!
Being ghosted by my best friend's brother was easier to get over than the pink positive sign I got six weeks later.
With our ten-year age difference, I didn't think I was more to Stetson Barron than his little sister's quirky best friend, the one with store-bought hair color and thrifted clothing. Until one hot summer night at his cousin's wedding when I climbed him like a water tower.
And then he didn't talk to me for weeks afterward.
A pink plus sign and a panic attack later, the trailer house I share with my mom burns down. Stetson shows up at the ER like a country knight on a diesel-powered steed, arranges a place for my mom to stay, and takes me home with him.
The weeks of radio silence after our hookup have left me wary. Being with Stetson should be a fantasy come to life, but I'm waiting for my prince to ride away. I'm not the type of woman his parents want him to be with, and they'd rather pretend there's no baby than welcome me to the family. My mom was in the same situation once, and I've learned her lesson--alone is better than abandoned.
When Stetson is forced to choose between his new family unit and old family expectations, will he prove to be the man of my dreams? Or am I in for a heart-breaking wake-up call?

Stetson Barron has been the reoccurring star in all her dreams since she first learned what crushes were all about, he was the boy she wanted to claim her heart. But he was older, out of her league, and the brother to her best friend. And although she knows there are rules about that sort of forbidden thing she just couldn't shake her crush, he was the only one she wanted and couldn't have. Or could she?
Make Me Dream is a delightfully penned small town romance that is certain to keep you thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. Stetson and Lyric had the deck stacked against them, as he is the brother of her best friend, and that's a line you don't cross, and then there are his meddling and overbearing parents who wanted nothing but to run Lyric off. Stetson's family has expectations for him, and he has tried living up to them, but it's begun to keep him from his own personal happiness. He'd love nothing more than to see where his relationship with Lyric could go and raise their baby together, but his parents will never allow that. There is an image to keep up and Lyric doesn't fit into that!
As the story progresses we see these two struggle to find common ground, try hard to hold on to what they feel for one another, and keep outside interferences at bay. It's a tough fight, one that takes them some time and patience to overcome, but they eventually they find their way.
I really enjoyed this newest offering in the Oil Barrons series, it had captivating drama to keep my eyes glued to the pages, emotionally driven story line to stir up the feels, and characters that totally stole my heart! Highly recommend this one, it's so good!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
