My heart took a serious beating with this one, it broke for our brave heroine, but found reprieve when Stag wandered onto the page... he was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. The savior our poor heroine needed, I fell for him right along with our heroine! He was seriously something else!!
This was quite the introduction to a new series for me, the story line was engaging and filled with everything I love about MC stories, I cannot wait for the next one! Highly recommend!!

These two were meant to be together, it was written in the stars the day they met, but it wasn't instant happiness and butterflies for them, tragedy struck and pushed them apart before they really had a chance. The life Mayhem leads puts a target on his back, and it's a target he knows will be put on Effie's the moment someone learns that he loves her, so he does what he thinks is best for her and keeps her at an arm's length. Which at times is quite infuriating as he draws her in, leads her to believe things, only to shut her out again. The man drove me nuts!!! But I held out hope that he would redeem himself eventually, I just needed to be patient with him, and let me tell you it took A LOT of patience!! This is a love story that will do a number on your emotions, the constant push and pull, dark nature of some events that unfold, and of course the heartbreak these two face... but I promise there is some happiness to be found in the end. It just takes a little time to get there.
If you like darker romances I would say this one is for you, but if you are looking for a heart-skipping-a-beat romance this is not one of those, so proceed with caution. As a dark romance lover I will say it gave me what I came for and then some, it tortured my heart in the best possible way! Highly recommend!

From the opening lines of this one I had a feeling it was going to leave a mark, and I wasn't wrong. My heart broke for our heroine and all that she had been through. Her story hit me right in the heart, but it also managed to heal the damage by the time the last page came. It was such a beautifully constructed love story, one that I won't soon forget!
Octavia has a past that isn't pretty and she has a lot of emotional scars that it left behind, but then she meets Digger and as much as her head says to resist him, her heart tells her to run straight to him. She is at a loss with him, her past makes her want to push him away, but the way he makes her feel can't be ignored. It's a game of tug o' war for her heart, but one that she comes out of the other side of happier than she has ever been. I loved watching these two weather the storm and find their HEA, it was such a captivating and emotional charged story. One definitely worth picking up and taking a chance on, I guarantee it's pages will leave you thoroughly satisfied!
