The minute word spread that she was expecting everyone in town was certain she had done it to trap the hometown football hero into marriage, but that wasn't the case at all, after graduation he left town and never looked back, and broke her heart in the process. So, from that point on she became a single parent, and has been doing just fine without his help. Between going to college, working, and taking care of her child she has little free time for much of anything else, and honestly she wouldn't want it any other way, the last time she tried love she got burned, and she has no intention of repeating past mistakes. But the minute she comes face to face with one of Bridgeland's finest police officers she begins to question her no love plan...


The mere mention of a hockey player and I was intrigued, and after I dived into it I was really glad I decided to take a chance on it, it turned out to be a very engaging and heartwarming read. This was my first time reading something from this author, and I have to say that her writing totally took me by surprise, and instantly made me regret not reading something by her before now! She completely won me over with her beautifully written story line, and made it almost impossible for me not to completely fall for head over heels for her tight knit group of charming characters, they had my heart barely a chapter into it!! Definitely one of the most impressive first reads I have had the pleasure of reading in some time, I highly recommend you meet these characters, their story will warm your heart and leave you with a unshakable smile on your face!
