So trusting the words coming out of Slade's mouth and accepting the help he is willing to give is a huge step for her. She has never had anyone to depend on, but herself, but Slade is determined to prove to her that she can depend on him.
It's not an easy task for the man who is use to always getting his way, but he also realizes that Paige isn't your typical woman, she may be just as strong as he is, and accepting help isn't her way. She wants to earn her way on her own merits and he has to learn how to let her share the reigns. It's a beautiful story of give and take, and learning how to let someone else carry the heavy load when your shoulders are just to weak to do it.
This was a wonderfully penned and touching offering from Ms. Prescott, her words moved me, and her characters completely stole my heart! Highly recommend!
