The Release Blitz for Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy!
At fourteen they knew they had a connection, but their paths were never meant to cross. He was the son of the richest man on the continent, and she was the daughter of his mistress. They were doomed from the start. So they went their separate ways and never spoke about their shared moment.
But life has put them on the same path again, but this time things are a little different, Whit has revenge to seek and Summer wants to fly under the radar and finish school in peace and out of the limelight created by her mother's transgressions. When these two meet again the sparks are their again full force, but so is their hatred for one another... question is which one will win out?
Things I Wanted to Say is a dark and mildly twisted tale that will clutch your heart and attention from the first page and hold it intently until the last page comes. It's words pack a powerful punch and are bound to have your emotions in shambles the whole way through. These two really did a number on me, the indecision, the hate for one another, and the passion they shared kept intensity levels high, and had me on edge. I struggled with my feelings for Whit, I could see he was a product of the environment he was forced to live in, and that world left him numb to feeling. But I also hated the way he treated Summer at times, there were moments he was downright evil. But as the story played out, and layers were peeled back it became a little easier to embrace the little devil, eventually grew on me. It really says something when a author can create a character like him and make you completely change your opinion of him by the last page.
This was a lot darker offering from Ms. Murphy and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this new side of her writing, the angst and intensity were everything I crave in a read. I really hope to see more stories like this from her, this one was outstanding from beginning to end, and it's words really hit me in the feels! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
