She feels trapped and wants free of him, so she turns to someone she has disliked for a long time... his son Carter. And things just get more intense and dangerous from there...

This was one of the darkest stories that I have read in a while, it pushed boundaries, angered me, and had my emotions all over the place. And I thoroughly enjoyed every last second of it, it was an outstanding first time read! After that epilogue, I cannot wait to see what the next installment holds for these characters. I would say proceed with caution with this one, it has a few moments that could cause some emotional triggers. I think it is best suited for readers who like darker stories and don't mind stepfather/stepbrother relationships. Highly recommend this one, it's a action-packed emotional roller coaster ride that will have you on the dangling helplessly from the edge of your seat the whole way through!
