The Lilac House by Barbara Josselsohn is Now Available!
Anna Harris is facing one of the hardest trips she'll ever have to make, a return to the place her family has spent every summer for the last few years. Their home in Summers Lake holds so many memories, but now that her husband has passed it's just too painful to endure. She's determined to make this their best and last summer there, thinking it's time to let that part of their lives remain in the past... and start a new tradition. But once they arrive, get comfortable in their routine, things start to fall into place... a place that feels new, and welcoming in a different way. Now she isn't so sure it's time to say goodbye...
The Lilac House is a story of new beginnings, loss, healing, and falling in love. This was supposed to be it, their last summer in the house, but once they arrive things start to take a unexpected turn. Their summer house starts to feel like home in a whole new way, feeling more like a permanent home, one they don't want to leave. Anna finds a sense of peace she has never known, feels like maybe they could really be happy here, and starts to create a new normal for them. She also makes a friend named Aidan, a man that knows more about her than she ever thought anyone could. The moment they met they recognized each other's pain, he knows and understands the loss she's endured, as he has too. It's an unexpected friendship, that comes with the possibility of being more, and that is something Anna never thought she have again.
This beautifully penned story will give your heartstrings a work-out, but I promise the ending makes up for it. I loved every minute of my visit to Lake Summers and I look forward to future visits, and meeting more of it's residents. If you like women's fiction with a touch of romance then I think you will enjoy this one, it's really a touching read! Highly recommend!
