The Act of Trusting is a heartbreakingly beautiful love story that will destroy your heart... and eventually piece it back together with is perfectly penned words. Cam and Blaire are opposites of sorts, he's the boy on campus that everyone knows, a campus celebrity of sorts and she is the quiet shy girl that hardly anyone knows, not that she really wants to know them anyway. Blaire is very guarded and for good reason, she is dealing with something very traumatic and it's left her wary of everyone around her, to the point that she doesn't let anyone in. As soon as Cam sees her he is smitten, but there is also a part of him that wants to protect her and erase the pain she carries in her eyes. But getting close enough to her to do that is the issue, every time he tries to talk to her she runs or pushes him away. She hopes he'll find another girl to spend his time on, but he only wants to spend his free time on her, and he'll go to any length necessary to do it... even if it means settling for just being her friend.

Oh these two tortured souls completely broke my heart, but their healing and love mended it by the time the last page came. It has been some time since I have a had story effect me the way this one did, it was an instant connection and addiction for me, as soon as these two wandered onto the page I was lost to them. I felt every word on the page, let them take me on an emotional roller coaster and torture me in all the best ways, and then eventually bring me joy and happiness. It was one of those full circle kind of reads, the ones that leave a mark that is almost impossible to erase... yep these two are going to linger for a while for sure. Highly recommend you get your hands on this book, it words will break you in the best possible way!
